Meet the Designers
Aayeesha Rampaul-Essue is a Trinidad born and raised, New York based designer. Her passion for fashion began at a very early age and at 8 years old, decided that she wanted to be a fashion designer when she grew up.
She majored in Fashion Design at The University of Trinidad & Tobago and moved to New York upon completion of her studies.
She has many years experience in haute couture having worked with designers such as Zack Posen and Rafael Cennamo.
Aayeesha has always been passionate about showcasing the culture and talents of Trinidad & Tobago to the world. For 2018, she has merged her passion and experience to create “PONOS”.
Holder of the Trinidad and Tobago Coalition of Service Industries (TTCSI) Young Service Provider of the year Award 2013, Christian Boucaud started her label Christian Boucaud Designs officially in 2003.
Christian Boucaud has a unique design aesthetic, which is unparalleled in the fashion industry. She dresses both local and international celebrities, including Michelle Williams, former member of popular girl group Destiny’s Child, popular Japanese Soca Group Torochacha and recently outfitted the cast of Grammy Award Winner Jidenna’s new single ‘a little bit more’.
Christian has showcased both regionally and internationally and through social media she has been able to reach clients internationally and regionally, with clients in Japan, Belgium, USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Africa and numerous Caribbean islands.
Christian Boucaud is also a noted Carnival Designer who started designing Carnival Monday Wear in 2004 and Carnival Costumes in 2012, and has designed Carnival costumes for: Trinidad and Tobago, Bermuda, Miami, North Carolina and Barbados.
Fazad Mohammed presents a fresh and very unique perspective to the modern art scene in Trinidad and Tobago. His passion was invested for 14 years within the international corporate private sector. In 2013 he embarked on pursuing a new and very radical career path in the visual arts, as StudioM130 was established. He is a self-taught artist, who is no stranger to our creative melting pot and is also known for his innovative concepts in Carnival Mas design. With over 15 years experience within the local and international Carnival Industry, he joined the Passion Carnival Family in 2015 as a core designer and Executive Member. For 2017, he introduced to the Passion Carnival scene the creative genius of Nicole Coggins and Amanda Ramjohn, who collaborated on StudioM130’s concepts for Carnival 2018.
JAM Design Concepts
JAM is synonymous with partying and generally a fun time.
That was the idea behind this collaborated effort of Jayson Maharaj and Avinash Singh the founders of Jam Design Concepts, who wants to bring a fresh take on Carnival and the entertainment industry. They are heavily involved in the Carnival arena from Carnival designs, production, Monday wear, styling/ wardrobe, event management and coaching.
The design duo both share a passion for the arts and creativity, Avinash is good with the pen, sketching and conceptualizing and gemming , while Jayson is more technical using various materials to construct and bring the creations to life.
They had their first costume with Passion Carnival entitled, Pan Shadow which was an instant hit with masqueraders local and foreign.
Since then they have continually grown, now being lead designers for Passion Carnival locally, Head designers for Madd Flava , S and A Mas (Atlanta), Extacy Mas (Hollywood ) Euphoria Mas (Miami), Kontact Mas (Barbados) just to name a few.
They source, build and provide all materials from gems, accessories, fabric and feathers to produce costumes with utmost attention to detail. They have a strong team they work alongside which include seamstresses and wire benders to get your costumes produced in a timely and professional manner.

Ryan Chan is a 30 year old international designer, hailing from Trinidad and Tobago. His aesthetic is fueled by art, emotions and opulence.
From a tender age this self-taught designer combined exquisite skill for sketching and painting with a natural instinct for fashion and design, combining and creating marvelous pieces of artistic inspired fashion.

Excelling at high fashion garments, Ryan Chan is a sought after designer by local celebrities and anybody with a daring soul.
In 2014 , Ryan Chan featured a gown in a photoshoot session for Britain’s next top model , shot in Jamaica.
In 2012 Ryan Chan represented Trinidad and Tobago in “Mission Catwalk ” a designer reality TV series
with 30 participating designers from across the Caribbean and broadcasted on Jamaican television and syndicated across the Caribbean, USA, Canada and the U.K. and then in 2015 for the mission catwalk “all star” edition.
The designer has continued to blaze the trail for an aesthetic that is not that of a typical “island designer” with a mind that is focused on being creative, edgy , fresh and daring , Ryan Chan is a brand on the rise.
